All of us are well aware of the need to practice social distancing, yet for us at Beth Am, we are committed to making sure that we stay connected. As grandparents, parents, and children, this "new normal" challenges all of us to think in new ways. To that end, we wanted to share with you some important information about how we, too, are thinking in new ways.
This Friday, March 20, 2020, Temple Beth Am will launch the first Tefilah Bashamayim(In the Heavens) - Shabbat Service Online at 8:00 pm, which you can see and hear from home on your computer, tablet or smartphone.
To watch the service, you will need to download and install Zoom video conferencing software, which you should do before Friday’s service.
On computers (desktops, laptops, or Chromebooks)
Download and install “Zoom Client for Meetings.” Here is the link. https://us04web.zoom.us/download
Then sign up.
On mobile devices (phones or tablets)
Download the “Zoom Cloud Meeting” app.
Then sign up.
Should you need further assistance, we have created a file that provides instructions on how to download and install the software and join a meeting, which is what the software calls our online gatherings. You can view the instructions by clicking the followng:
